This is the standard set for Telecaster, as around 1955 a change was made in the D and G strings magnets, increasing its height to improve sound balance (staggered). After this modification the design haven’t changed substantially. In 1951, the bridge pickup with copper plated steel plate replaced the previous one. The Alnico V magnets are staggered, and the winding is made of 42 AWG plain enamel copper wire. The neck pickup is encapsulated in a cover of brass free nickel silver. The magnets are Alnico V and the copper wire is 43 AWG plain enamel. Both pickups are wound in the modern way with RW/RP, are in phase and have humbucking effect in the middle position.
