Replicating the Golden Era of Tone

At B&B Pickups, we don’t believe in mass production, shortcuts, or generic assembly lines. Located in Valencia, Spain, our workshop is dedicated to a singular passion: restoring the historic voice, warmth, and unmatched dynamics of classic instruments. We don’t just build components—we meticulously craft the heart and soul of your guitar’s sound.

The Craftsman Behind Your Tone

Unlocking the unique character of your instrument is what drives our work. Guided by a deep respect for musical heritage, our daily craft combines hours of rigorous bench testing, active connection with the luthier community, and the careful restoration of vintage history to shape your definitive voice.

Tested by Ear and Soul

Each blueprint we develop is born from a technical layout but perfected through hours of real playing. We don’t just rely on digital meters; we plug the pickups into vintage tube amps right here at the bench to feel their dynamics, clarity, and raw power before they leave the shop.

Pascual Brisa Brisa

Founder & Master Pickups Builder

Every great guitar has a voice waiting to be unlocked. At B&B Pickups, I personally hand-wind every single coil and humbucker to replicate the exact warmth, dynamics, and response of the golden era of music. No mass production, no shortcuts—just pure heritage tone crafted one pickup at a time.

Restoring History, Crafting Tone

Our deep understanding of vintage sound doesn’t just come from books; it comes from handling history at the bench. Whether winding a brand-new set or carefully restoring the electronics of a legendary 1970s Jazz Bass, we analyze how those original copper coils and magnets aged to replicate that raw, timeless mojo in everything we build.

The Art of Scatter Winding

Every single coil, humbucker, and bass pickup that leaves our bench is 100% hand-wound using traditional scatter-winding techniques. By manually guiding the copper wire, we create a unique, slightly irregular tension that factory-made machine pickups simply cannot replicate. The result is a richer harmonic spectrum, crystalline clarity, and an organic response that breathes life into your playing.
