The Fender Stratocaster has undergone some significant changes in its construction over time. Its pickups are not an exception, and so, in the late 50s, the type of magnet was replaced by Alnico V. This set has a little more power than the Vintage 54. As in all of our sets, the changes compared to the original pickups are: middle pickup wound with RW/RP (reverse wound – reverse polarity) so the pickups are in phase, with humbucking effect at positions 2 and 4, overwinding bridge pickups for a better volume balance between the three pickups. We also offer the set with the original features. For the Vintage 57-62, we use heavy formvar 42 AWG copper wire, Alnico V magnets and black Forbon coil for the upper and lower parts.
